Start the Process

First, start with your own decision tree. You have heard it before -- follow your passion and you will succeed. It is true. When you work in an area you care about, you will probably have Knowledge about it (or be willing to learn), will most likely make Decisions to move you forward, will focus your Desire on success and will keep a positive mental Attitude.

The best retirement advice we can give whether you are looking for extra income or for a fun, satisfying opportunity without income is to follow your passion to find happiness in your work.

How do you start? The key is preparation. Here are some of the things you will evaluate as you work through the decision tree.

Determine if you want or need income. If so, how much.
Do you want part time or full time employment.
Evaluate all of the skills you have attained over a lifetime - from paying and non-paying jobs.
Do you want to use the same skills developed in your career or do you want to stretch out and find something new.
Are you willing to relocate.
Do you prefer self-employment.
Decide if you are willing to relocate to find that great retirement job.
Evaluate whether you want to work for others or become an entrepreneur and work for yourself.

With the right approach and planning, one can find senior jobs, retiree jobs and jobs before retirement. Examine all the elements below and drive down to the one that most interests you.
