Hobby People Through and Through

Some individuals are real hobby people. Some found that they loved hobbies some time ago. In the article, Hobby Shop Going Strong, published by the Independent Retailer Magazine online on September 1, 2010, they describe a couple that combined hobbies for fun and for a career.

Dannie and Opal Slavin purchased the inventory of a former hobby shop in 1965 and started their own Family Hobby Center in Naples, Florida. They enjoyed hobbies as children and have learned to share their knowledge with their customers.

This is not like any of the hobby shops online. You go in and get 45 years of knowledge of the products. That keeps them competitive. Not bad for an 87-year old owner. I thought people would enjoy reading this one.
