Start with a good, thoughtful examination of yourself to determine what makes you happy. What do you think about when you find yourself smiling? What is on your mind when you finally realized that 4 hours have passed and you missed dinner?
It may just be your PASSION. You are lucky if your have found it. Now you just have to LIVE IT!
Another good approach in your self examination is to think about something that is FUN. Look at Eight Irresistible Principles of Fun and you will be on your way.
You can improve yourself and do anything you want to do. How? Develop a positive attitude and take a step. And take another step.
There are a number of approaches to take as shown here:
- Educate Yourself - Learn a language, take a course on your favorite subject at a local college, or learn about computers and the Internet. Travel for the fun and excitement of seeing and learning about new places. A number of organizations cater to those age 55 and over to make it easy to find just the one you want. There is so much out there to enable you to improve yourself.
- Follow Your Dream - Start doing the things you always wanted to do. Be creative, get your hands dirty, learn more about your family origins or start a business.
- Expand Your Horizons - Stretch yourself and do the things that you were cautions about before or did not the time to do.
